Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has been awarded a two-match ban after jabbing his finger into the eye of Barcelona assistant coach Tito Vilanova (what a crap move). The  so called ‘incident’ happened during the final moments of Real’s Spanish Super Cup loss to their rivals on 17 August. A fiery match that ended with Marcelo receiving a red-card for what was described as ‘a horror tackle’ on Cesc Fabregas. I think I would have said a little more than that my friend!

Anyway, just to make matters worse, the dismissal led to yet another brawl between the two teams which also involved both sets of staff! Can you believe it? Vilanova – who has also been banned for one match for retaliating – was seen trying to get at Mourinho after the Portuguese boss had seemingly poked him in the eye.

Now come on, what the hell, how can crap like this be allowed to go on?

Now this is good, the former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson believes Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is the right guy to succeed Fabio Capello at the helm!!!!!

 Eriksson, who is currently the manager of Championship club Leicester City, took charge of England from 2001-2006 and he says the under-fire Frenchman would be the perfect man for the job????

I have to confess I don’t actually know how I feel about this. But thinking Judging from previous performance, I think the perfect person would be Mary Poppins or dame edna!! Hey, but thats just my view, whats yours?

 Can you believe it, Man Utd’s £18.9m goalkeeper?  I think the jury is still on him?

I often wonder this because, not wishing to give my age away, but I still remember all those years ago when a pair of football boots were great big heavy things that just looked like military army boots but without the polish! Leather all over and the most wicked things you would ever want to wear!

Couple that with the long shorts that covered your needs, and oh, yes, lets not forget the old shin pads!! What damn shin pads??? No, if you got kicked it hurt! And that was that.

You know, I remember even the guys who plaid in the top league matches, they all had full time jobs and the matched paid them a silly amount, more often just too cover their buds fairs.

Look at it now? So my friends help me out. Tell me why you feel football is as popular as it is?
